One of the key innovations of the FC design was the repositioning of the engine behind the cab. This eliminated the traditional bonnet and gave the vehicle its distinctive flat-front appearance—making it more compact and suitable for air transport. Powered by a Rover V8 engine and designed with all-terrain capability, the FC Truck GS Body continued Land Rover’s long-standing service legacy within the British military.

History:
Introduced to meet specific operational needs, the Land Rover 1 Tonne Forward Control truck offered the British Army a compact, capable platform for towing light artillery and transporting supplies.
