The MGB, which debuted at the 1962 London Motor Show, was a long-selling car that sold 520,000 by the time when production ended on October 22, 1980. During the 18 years of its model life, there were no major changes in the basic body shape, chassis, or engine, but its specifications have evolved year and year by repeated improvements. Therefore, even the model looks the same at a first glance, it is possible to identify the model year and month by checking exterior, interior, and engine room.
