Toyota bB is a Japanese passenger car with the so-called class of city cars, with a van body, which was first presented to the public in 2000. Its production started in the same year. It was located, among others, in the city of Ikeda in Japan.
The bB model was developed and put into production in order to expand the commercial offer of Toyota Motor Corporation. The first generation of this model was based on the design solutions used in Toyota Vitz. As a drive, it used engines with a capacity of 1.3-1.5 litres. It was dedicated primarily to the Japanese market. It was exported to, for example, Australia or New Zealand in a marginal way. In the years 2003-2007 it was offered on the American market under the name Scion XB. The second generation went into production in 2005-2006 and was already designed primarily with the American market in mind, it also clearly differed from its predecessor. The Daihatsu Materia car, which was produced until 2013, was a twin similar to the second generation of Toyota bB. In the offer of Toyota Motor Corporation, the bB model was replaced by the Toyota Tank car.
