This is a rare NOS ( new old stock ) kit that we found recently which is extremely hard to find. This kit is complete but has small signs of wear of the outer packaging as it is NOS however the kit is perfectly fine (image is for reference only). – the outer packaging is not immaculate nor perfect. Either a collectors piece or a great kit to build, now is your chance to own a very fun kit indeed as it is the first edition of the kit – while the kit is remade and generally still available, this early version is not. The time to buy it is the time you see it….
General kit info:
When cargo vessels come into harbour having covered thousands of sea miles, they still have a difficult stretch ahead of them. This is where the harbour tug boat come into their own, take over command and tow these gigantic ships safely alongside the quay. The tug boats do not carry any cargo, but serve to tow large tankers and cargo vessels. These small, robust but very manoeuverable boats have very powerful engines developing from 250 to thousands of horsepower. The bridge is designed as a high superstructure to give them a good panoramic view, that will enable them to do their job properly and guarantee a safe passage through the confined space of the harbour. The bow, stern and side walls are usually reinforced and equipped with additional protective matting.
