With the Xsara WRC, Citroën, which recorded 28 WRC wins in the six years from 2001 to 2006, will make a comeback in 2017 after taking a break from WRC activities after the 2015 season. The machine at that time was the Citroen C3 WRC. It was developed based on the 5-door model of the commercially available small car C3 according to the regulations of World Rally Car and WR Car. A 1.6-litre in-line 4-cylinder engine is placed horizontally at the front. The front and rear suspension used MacPherson strut 4-wheel independent, and the drive system adopted 4-wheel drive. Debuted in 2017. Driven by Kris Meeke, Sebastien Loeb and Sebastien Ogier. 2 wins in 2017, 1 win in 2018 and 3 wins in 2019.

A plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the 1/24 scale Citroen C3 WRC released by Belkit, a Belgian model maker that vigorously develops rally car models, with a completely new mold. The total length of the finished product is about 170mm, and the powerful style such as the front and rear fenders with overhanging overfenders of the world rally car specification and the large rear wing are realistically modeled. In addition, the underside of the chassis, the cockpit surrounded by the suspension and roll bar are also finished with a sense of density. The suspension and tyres reproduce the tarmac specifications unique to the Tour de Corse. In addition, soft plastic material is used to reproduce the texture of the parts.
The kit also includes photo-etched parts for improving details such as brake discs, metal stamping parts that reproduce the fins on the front of the body, and metal pin parts that support the mounting of auxiliary lights for the night stage. Kit complete with mask stickers, carbon decals and seat belts that are great for painting window frames. This kit reproduces the markings of the machine driven by Sebastien Loeb at the 4th round of the 2018 WRC Tour de Corse.

The paints listed here are those shown on the box for serious hobbyists who want to build the kit precisely. You do not have to buy them all and may prefer to choose alternatives.

For car bodies and motorcycle panels, we recommend using a main-colour spray can for the best finish rather than brush-painting the main body. One can is enough for one kit.

Tamiya kits use Tamiya-brand paints and paint codes. All other kit brands use Mr Hobby paints. You can find a huge range of paints, undercoats and lacquers in our Paint section.

Note: Mr Hobby “H” codes are water-based paints and are less smelly when used indoors. “C” codes are lacquer-based and can produce a finer finish. Add a small bottle of the correct thinner for your paint type to clean your brushes and make it easier to switch colours while building your kit.

We have tools for every budget, all available in our Tools section. For first-time builders and gift-givers, the products below are a practical way to get started. We especially recommend the Kit Building Bundle for beginners, as you only need this and your chosen paint colours to build a kit.

Although there is an initial outlay, these tools will last for many future builds and make model building more enjoyable. As with most things in life, having the right tools for the job produces better results. For higher-end tools, explore our Mr Hobby ranges.

If you build models regularly and value long-lasting tools and support products that help achieve the best possible finish, we have a wide range of quality items from Mr Hobby and Tamiya in our main menu. Here are some useful products to consider:
