The 2017 Ford GT model is an American passenger super sports car that was presented to the public for the first time in 2014, but its limited series production started only in 2016. The car was developed and put into production by the Ford Motor Company automotive concern as a kind of successor of the GT model produced in 2003-2007. Compared to its predecessor, the car has a completely new engine with even greater power, which resulted in an improvement of the already very good performance. The heart of the newest Ford GT is a 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3.5 liters, a maximum power of 656 HP and a torque of 746 nM! The car also got a completely new 7-speed gearbox and its weight was reduced. Significant changes also took place in the design of the body and passenger compartment. It is assumed that the main market rivals of the new Ford GT will be the Ferrari 456 and the McLaren 675.
