PRE-ORDER KIT DUE EARLY FEBRUARY
Tamiya is delighted to announce an updated re-issue of Item 24014 1/24 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo (originally sold in 1979: motorized at that time) with new Cartograf decals, updated instruction manual and packaging.
The DRM (German Racing Championship) had two classes distinguished by displacements of 2,000cc and over, and under 2,000cc, and the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was a car which challenged the BMW 320 Turbo.
It made its debut at the eighth DRM race in Hockenheim in summer 1978, and had an extremely low nose and wide body, plus flashy markings with red and yellow flashes on a black base. This car regularly fought in the leading group and achieved victory for the first time at the spring race in Nürburgring in October 1978, and the next year, it got second position at the first race of the DRM in Zolder and victory at the second race in Hockenheim.
